2. Overview

This is a static website. We set no cookies of our own, use no tracking and no analytics tools, and load no third-party resources — fonts, scripts and 3D content are served solely from our own server. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required. The only thing stored on your device is your choice between light and dark appearance (section 5). How this site is built technically is set out in the colophon.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. On access, Cloudflare processes technically necessary server log data — in particular IP address, date and time, the requested resource, the referrer, and browser/OS information — to deliver the site securely and reliably. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, functional delivery). A data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Any transfer to the USA relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Technically necessary host cookies for security and abuse prevention (e.g. “__cf_bm”) may be set; these are consent-free under § 25(2) TDDDG. More: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

4. Server log files

These log data are processed solely to deliver and secure the site, are not merged with other sources, and are deleted or anonymised once no longer needed.

5. Local storage in your browser (appearance mode)

If you switch between light and dark appearance, your browser stores that choice under the key “texni-theme” in local storage (localStorage). The entry stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and contains no personal data. It is written only when you operate the switch; the storage is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested and is therefore consent-free under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG. You can delete it at any time by clearing website data in your browser.

6. Language switch on the start page

If you open the start address without a language prefix, a small script in your browser reads its preferred language (navigator.language) and forwards you to the matching language version. This evaluation happens solely locally in your browser; nothing is stored and nothing is transmitted to us.

7. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Messages to our contact address are forwarded via Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc.; data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, see section 3) to a mailbox at Proton AG, Geneva, Switzerland, and stored there. For Switzerland an adequacy decision of the EU Commission under Art. 45 GDPR is in place. The data are deleted once no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

8. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent at any time with future effect.

10. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

11. SSL/TLS encryption

For security this site uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

12. Marketing outreach (prospect data)

To initiate business contacts we process, to a limited extent, details of companies taken from publicly accessible sources — in particular public company profiles, company websites and business directories. We process: the company name, publicly published contact details (e.g. an email address or a messenger profile) and a short note on the reason for contacting. The purpose is a single, individually prepared approach offering our services; no automated bulk messaging takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in approaching potential business customers). Where the data does not come from the person concerned, we provide the information required by Art. 14 GDPR at the latest with our first message. We keep these details only until the purpose lapses, at most twelve months; on request we delete the entry without delay. Details we need in order to honour an objection permanently (a blocking record) are kept beyond this period.

Right to object: under Art. 21(2) GDPR you may object at any time to the processing of your data for direct-marketing purposes. A short message to contact@texni.dev is enough — we will not contact you again.
